The Chi Season 6

In my role as the lead social writer for entertainment brands, I have the privilege of previewing soon-to-be-released TV shows and films and crafting engaging content for multiple social media platforms. My work entails staying up-to-date with industry trends and developing creative strategies to generate buzz and anticipation for upcoming releases.

“The Chi” is by far my favorite show to work on. From season premiere to evergreen content in between seasons, we’ve created content that reinforces the show’s themes of Black love, community, and mental health.

The Chi Takes Smokey’s to The Cookout

In the pre-launch phase of The Chi’s return, we brought Smokey's BBQ, the show’s beloved restaurant, to life in the real world.

We activated at Everyday People, the World’s Coolest Day Party, celebrating black culture, with Smokey’s BBQ as a food truck and a nostalgic Chicago front porch photo opp with merch and picnic-style seating for dining.

The Chi’s presence at Everyday People refreshed attendees’ love for the show and excitement for the new season.

THE CHI LAUNCHES BROADCAST CHANNEL ON IG

#ChiFam is The Chi's adoring fanbase, so we created a platform for them to connect, share, and enjoy exclusive content before it's released to the public. We were instrumental in launching The Chi's broadcast channel and provided guidelines for sharing content, including exciting show prediction polls, tantalizing audio teasers, and behind-the-scenes photo drops. The Chi team still leverages the channel to promote their YouTube videos to its 13.9k followers.

Showtime's The Chi returns with season 6, and our task is to create captivating content during the premiere, the entire season, and during the show's hiatus while fans wait to watch Part 2 the following year.

This asset is part of a series that highlights characters and introduces them to new viewers who follow Paramount+. By sharing moments embodying the character's journey, we've created a direction that caters to loyal fans of The Chi and potential new eyes.
